Coordination Office

Establishing perspectives through synergies, cooperation and strategic discourse

Scientific support for the research projects subsidised by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the umbrella of Agricultural Systems of the Future is provided by the Agricultural Systems of the Future Coordination Office under the auspices of the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) and the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF).

The coordination office’s main objective is to enable synergies through the active exchange of information between the consortia, and to support the strategy process for the further development of the agrosystems.

It also contributes to boosting the national and international visibility of the research projects and conducting the overall social dialogue about future agrosystems. Here the focus is on including various stakeholders.

With its work, the coordination office supports the coordination committee comprised of the coordinators for the subsidised projects. Through a new quality of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cooperation, the expert group prepares recommendations for the strategic further development of the BMBF Agricultural Systems of the Future funding initiative.
