Regional Food and Urban Agriculture: ILS and "Agricultural Systems of the Future" at the 9th NRW Sustainability Conference in the State Parliament

On September 11, the ILS ¬Institute for Regional and Urban Development Research and the "Agricultural Systems of the Future" presented themselves with a booth at the 9th NRW Sustainability Conference in the state parliament in Düsseldorf. Under the motto "Together. Sustainable. Act.", numerous actors discussed how NRW can contribute to achieving the goals of Agenda 2030 and what measures are needed to achieve them.
At the ILS booth, the focus was on "Regional Food and Urban Agriculture". The focus was on insights into the "Agricultural Systems of the Future" consortium SUSKULT and the EU project FoodE.
SUSKULT is one of eight "Agricultural Systems of the Future" consortia. As a special highlight, visitors to the ILS booth were able to learn about the work of SUSKULT and the other consortia of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" at our interactive multi-touch table.

Since 2012, the NRW Sustainability Conferences, as a cross-thematic exchange platform on future issues of the state of NRW, have regularly brought together around 400 actors from civil society, municipalities, business and science from all over the state. The colleagues from the ILS, SUSKULT and the central coordination office of "Agricultural Systems of the Future" were able to talk to numerous stakeholders. Among them where Dr. med. Eckhart von Hirschhausen and Oliver Kirscher, Minister for Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia.
